Gavin Cormany, Class of 2025, of Oak Hill Academy, joined our family this week and will certainly be a name to know going forward. Gavin joined Oak Hill Academy recently but is a home grown hooper from Southwest Va. Gavin brings a lot of options to the table but the first thing that will stand out to anyone is the amount of effort and energy that Gavin plays with. Gavin plays the game the correct way and is a coach’s dream.
While watching Gavin play this past season, he continually led his team defensively, but was also a very adept scorer and a high percentage shooter from three point range. He also proved that he could get in the paint, absorb some contact, and finish at the rim effectively and consistently. But the thing that stands out is how great a teammate that he proves to be. From being the first guy to run and help a someone up, to congratulating a successful teammate, or being a cheerleader on the bench….Gavin is your guy! Trust me when I say…college coaches look for hoopers like Gavin because players like this make a college program better and more successful!
GameDay is excited to watch and see how Gavin’s AAU season and future expands because we are so that Gavin will be one to certainly watch for!
