Gavin Pearce (Class of 2025), of Daniel Boone High School, Grey, TN, made the trek southeast yesterday for a visit to Averette University and to check out the Cougar basketball program. Although he left empty handed, Gavin made the trip back home with his first offer in his pocket! Gavin had established a relationship with Coach Keshawn Lewis since attending the Elite camp in September. While at the camp, Gavin displayed his passion for playing with his hustle, defense, attention to detail in the little things, as well as his skill of shooting the basketball from beyond the arc! After talking to Coach Lewis, it was evident that Gavin fits the culture that is being implemented in the Cougar basketball program! A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Gavin on his first offer from Averette University…an awesome basketball program and coaching staff!
